From the “Forward Taguig” slogan by the former Mayor, Freddie Tinga, you will now see this logo when you go around Taguig City.

Yes, it’s now “I Love Taguig.” Sounds very Kris Aquino-ish, right? Just kidding!
Modesty aside, I am quite amazed at how Taguig has turned into a popular city due to the remarkable development of Fort Bonifacio, also known as Bonifacio Global City (BGC). Today, this place is home to numerous international schools, skyscrapers, luxury residential condominiums, classy restaurants, and the like. As a matter of fact, many establishments and steel buildings are currently being constructed at the heart of the city, our city.
Above all, nothing beats the fact that BGC, Taguig is the center of all running events in Metro Manila! Woo-hoo!
Now with that being said, who wouldn’t love Taguig? I think the new slogan proves its worth.
Of course, I am saying it with a little bias. LOL.
The kids’ nanny had to leave for Cagayan De Oro last Sunday morning to attend her aunt’s funeral. Although we knew that her abrupt leave of absence would put us in great distress, we let her go. She promised she’ll be back next week and in my heart, I’d like to believe that she’d keep her word.
Temporarily, we were back to our old set up. Every time we don’t have a nanny, my little girl stays at grandma’s, who just lives a few blocks away from us. This kind of set up always breaks my heart each time I have to pack her stuff.
Anyway, as if not having a nanny wasn’t enough to give us worries, my son’s school driver sent me his resignation via text the next day our dear nanny left.
Oh good grief!
Being in the corporate world for so long, I didn’t know that resignation text was possible until that very day!
Ang hassle, di ba? Nakipagsabayan pa talaga. Tsk.

On a positive note, it’s a good thing we also have a stay-out helper who takes care of the household chores from Monday to Saturday. Having her around is a big help. I can spend time with my kids without having to worry about the dishes, the laundry and a messy home. Thank God for these sweet little blessings!
I watched The Biggest Loser the other night and seriously felt the agony that the contestants had to go through in order to lose weight. Oh man, losing weight is tough! Most especially for obese people. It’s like you’re committing suicide every single day.
Ugh. Been there, done that…
If you ask me, losing weight is all about hard work, discipline, determination, and patience (lots of prayers too for a good spirit boost!) – it’s all about having the right ATTITUDE. It also entails a complete transformation of the way you think, the way you see things.
Isn’t it sweet to achieve something you’ve worked hard for? No pain, no gain. If you can’t afford having the right attitude and you want the easy way out, then just go to Belo or buy phenphedrine. Tapos ang problema mo! LOL.
A friend recently got into buying vouchers online that gives really big discounts on food, hotel accommodations, beauty treatments, package tours, popular retail stores, etc. What’s great is that you can buy as many vouchers as you like and give them as a gift to your loved ones! They won’t even know that you got them at a discounted price. Cool, right?
My friend bought 20 coupons of personalized presents for all her godchildren this Christmas. She said she couldn’t let the good deal get away and reasoned out that retail is for suckers. Whoa!
I feel so blessed to be part of a church that never gets tired of reaching out to the youth – the future leaders of the next generation. Our church is not the conservative and traditional type, plus the preaching style of pastors is very easy to understand and not limited to verses in the bible — they use personal approaches, provide insightful thoughts, use real-life examples, and teach us how to apply these biblical teachings in our daily lives. Our church also has Saturday services called Spark exclusively for high school students and Touch Point for college students respectively.
So many of these young people strive hard in order to do what’s pleasing to the Lord. Some of them are in need of inspiration and increased opportunity, while some students have Christian counseling degree so they can help those suffering from life’s trials. It’s a good thing there are some excellent online christian colleges nowadays.
To God be the glory!

Honor God. Make Disciples.
