Happy Reading!

My first finance books. Yay!

They’re unbelievably cheap!

Ang Pera na Hindi Bitin, Eduardo Roberto, Jr. (50 Php) – This book gives a practical advice on managing your finances in a biblical perspective. It’s funny, too. Thanks to our Account Manager for lending me this book! I ran to the nearest National Bookstore to grab my own copy the day I finished reading this book. It was a real blessing to me! Now I am more determined to give, save and invest. :-)

Ang Buhay na Hindi Bitin, Eduardo Roberto, Jr. (10 Php) – This 26-page book will teach you how to live a content, blessed and worry-free life. I finished reading this in an hour!

Go Negosyo, Joey Concepcion (198 Php) – 55 inspiring stories of women entrepreneurs in the Philippines. (I am currently reading this).

Since I became a Christian September of last year, I’ve always had this thirst to honor God in the aspect of our finances. Because the sad truth is, the bigger our salary gets, the harder it is to give to the Lord! Aminin nyo, totoo ‘yan! That’s why many Christians struggle with tithing. At isa na ako dun! Hehe.

So if you’re a faithful follower of Christ and don’t want to struggle with tithing anymore, I suggest that you get a copy of the first book. For only 50 pesos, it will bless you in such a way you couldn’t imagine!

Happy reading!

Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. – Malachi 3:10

Who’s That Little Girl?

On the same day at Kids Church, my little girl invaded the preschoolers’ classroom and danced to her heart’s content. Haha! Naloka ang mga teacher!

It’s her first time to see a karaoke

Go, little girl! Impress them with your dance moves! :P

My little girl refuses to leave the classroom. Pinatayan na sya ng karaoke para umuwi na! Hehe.

Now I can’t help but wonder. Is there a future for
her at music production colleges
? Or perhaps with top sound engineering schools. Maybe I had better start saving for tuition! :-)

That’s My Boy!

After the service last Sunday, I went down to Kids Church to pick up my son. Some of the kids had already been picked up. Some were standing by the door excitedly waiting for their parents and the after-class giveaway.

Surprisingly, my son didn’t wanna leave the classroom yet because he hadn’t finished his craft. It was raining hard that day, thus we arrived late at church. He was the last one to finish his craft. But what I found rather amazing was the fact that he had the heart to finish what he had started.

Good job, kuya Greggy!!!!

I am so proud of you, Greggy!

It’s time to go, son!

Effortless

Staying in shape has been a major struggle for me since the rainy season started. From 105 kilos, I now weigh 110 pounds. Thank you very much! Now I feel like taking some weight loss pills to shed the pounds I gained so quickly in just a few weeks of well…pigging out! Haha!

Why is it so hard to lose weight, yet so easy to gain it back? The funny thing is, the weight gain just happens…effortlessly. So unfair, right? Waaaaa!

Protect Your Identity

During a coaching session, one of our agents shared that he had been a victim of identity theft. His credentials were used to obtain a loan from SSS (Social Security System) and now his salary is automatically being deducted 1,200 a month for a loan he didn’t even use. Poor guy!

With the existence of Internet, anyone can be a victim of identity theft. Criminals can open credit card accounts, obtain loans and even mortgages using your name and other personal identifiable information. Sounds pretty scary, right?

No wonder RFID blocking wallets, secure badge holders, and secure sleeves sell like hotcakes in the US.

There are many articles online that give tips on how to protect our identity. Better be safe than sorry. :-)

Nostalgia

We recently replaced our old “baby on board” car sticker with this one…

For some weird reason while looking at the drawing, I suddenly felt nostalgic at the thought of my kids growing up, getting married, leaving our home sweet home, and having a family of their own a few years from now. Oh nooo! Ngayon pa lang sobrang nalulungkot na ako. Erase, erase… :-(

Time flies right before our very eyes. But for now what’s important is we have them and they have us. That in their eyes, daddy and I are the most precious people in the world.
