Summer Begins At Home

Summer is officially here in the Philippines! It’s so hot!

The scorching heat of the sun surely makes me wanna leave Manila and run to the beach.

It’s a good thing there are a couple of small resorts near our place that we can go to for a quick dip. I just hope the resort owners clean and maintain their pools well by investing on good swimming pool pump motors.

We haven’t scheduled our summer family outing yet, but it’s okay.

After all, summer begins at home! Look at my two kids, they enjoy their tiny pool.

Summer Activity

I chanced upon this Squier guitar while I was looking for activities that my son can do this summer.

I seriously wish he would show interest in playing a musical instrument because it has always been my frustration since I was a kid. Haha.

Anyway, I spoke to my husband this morning and we both agreed to enrol him in a swimming class at Lozada’s instead. He’ll probably start in April, right after his graduation.

Home Eco-Nanay Project #2: Mommy Cork Board

After my two CS operations, I am now more forgetful than ever!

So to help me keep track of everything that needs to be done in the house, I’ve decided to create a “mommy cork board.” A board that contains my to-do list, reminders, family calendar, appointments, memory verses for the kids, photos, inspiring quotes, etc.

Since I’ve just resigned from work, I also wanted a little space in the house that would give me an office feel. Something that would remind me that child-rearing and home-making are a serious business. LOL.

You see, it’s still half-done since I got busy with my daughter being sick and my son’s long test and final exams in school.

Hopefully, I would be able to finish this project next week. I have a lot of de-cluttering, organizing and renovating to do around the house. I would also like to do some furniture shopping and buy step stools to help me clean and arrange things that entail good height. LOL.
