Goodbye, Summer!

Summer is officially over.

How time flies! The month of May has been fun – explored Anawangin with my teammates, enjoyed our much-awaited family outing at Bosay Resort in Antipolo, and just last week, I had fun jogging by the beach and wresting with the giant waves in Bataan. I’ll be posting photos of our trips when I get the chance!

For now, let me officially say goodbye to summer.

Hello, rainy season!

Greggy’s back to school in two weeks.

Stepping up!

Last Sunday, I did my first attempt at the 10K category.

I’ve always been a fan of Goldilock’s since childhood, so I thought joining the Goldilocks 45th Anniversary Run would be fun. I was a little nervous when my husband dropped me off at BGC on the day of the race. Who wouldn’t when you know you’re unprepared? To make things worse, I left my timing chip at home just when I was about to set foot at the venue. My hubby had to drive me back home at a flying speed, and luckily reached the venue just in the nick of time.

I felt like my whole day was ruined! It’s a good thing my mood changed as soon as the race started.

Lesson learned: be prepared the night before the race. I got all panicky looking for my sun visor as I was leaving the house. Hence, I totally forgot to bring what’s more important — my timing chip. Ugh!

Needless to say, I was happy to have finished my first 10K run. My PR was not impressive, but at least I had the HEART to finish the race without fainting! Haha! I just felt a little gloomy because it was the first race I joined without my husband (he had a teambuilding that day). It’s a good thing Kat and Red (my friends in the office) joined me! It’s their first 10K run too!

After the race, we all walked (with a limp) all the way to Mercato for our big breakfast!

Side notes: I wish our legs were like cars with a 5th wheel warranty.

Kids at heart

I love attending kiddie parties. Greggy loves parties too. Maybe because of the fact that he gets to meet and play with other kids. And not only that, he never goes home empty-handed. Oh yeah, loot bags are something to look forward to!

A few days ago, I attended Enzo’s 1st Birthday Party at Shakey’s with my officemates. Too bad I wasn’t able to bring my little boy. I had to go to work early in the morning that day, so I don’t have enough time to go back home and pick him up.

Anyway, who says adults don’t enjoy kiddie parties? LOL. The food was yummy (more mojo potatoes, please!) and guess what we enjoyed the most? You got it right…The photo booth! Hay, we felt like kids all over again. Happy 1st Birthday, Enzo!

Here are some of our crazy pictures at the booth.
