Even though I am fairly slim now (naks! di ako sanay! LOL), I still need to find ways to get rid of my bulging tummy and flabby arms.
Having gone through two cesarean operations with my two kids, it was harder to lose weight. Thus, bidding my “mummy tummy” goodbye is next to impossible.
Or is it?
I’ve read some articles about burning belly fat. But to tell you honestly, I don’t like the idea of taking any supplement to achieve this goal.
I want to work hard for it. As in physically.
One of the articles I read online suggests doing proper ab crunches at least 3 times a week instead of sit-ups. I was actually surprised to find out that sit-ups work on our hip flexors and help very little in firming our tummy. Hmmm….that’s interesting to know!
Mommies, I know that raising kids is a pretty demanding job. But let us not forget to take care of ourselves too. Remember, there’s no way that you can serve God and your family if you’re not physical fit. *wink*
Had a soothing one hour full-body massage last night. It was perfect. I felt so rejuvenated and relaxed. I look ten years younger now.
Needless to say, I think I’m ready to be a corporate slave again.

Why is it that when you’re older it is more difficult to lose weight? That is so unfair! LOL.
Kidding aside, I think the most logical explanation is that when you’re older, your metabolism tends to slow down. So you need more effort and discipline as far as your weight is concerned.
Ok, fair enough then.
But come to think of it, does it also mean that when you’re older you also need the help of quick weight loss pills to compensate for your slow and deteriorating metabolism?
Everytime I get stressed out and feel devastatingly tired, having a home service massage twice a month is what I consider as my stress reliever. A good foot and back massage can really keep me rejuvenated and relaxed. So it’s really important for me to get a massage at least once a month. Otherwise, I will go ballistic! Hahaha!
Anyway, have you tried a massage chair? I always see some people trying it at the mall. If I remember correctly, I think it costs around 50 pesos for 10 minutes. I haven’t tried it though.
